Tim Ellis - Youth Pastor for Spring Campus

Pastor Tim EllisPastor Tim Ellis has been on staff as an associate pastor since 1993. He came on part time to work with our Student Ministries while establishing his Architectural Firm. In 1997 Tim Ellis came on full time and still runs his architectural design firm part time. His ministry background is in foreign missions. After surrendering to the ministry shortly after high school in 1988 he was serving as a associate youth pastor at a local church when he felt God calling him to missions. He served two years in the mission field with Mercy Ships, a ministry of Youth with a Mission. He served, on the ship “The Anastasis”, in many ministry positions including the drama team. While serving with Mercy Ship’s Tim participated in taking the gospel to 13 countries from Central America to the Middle East. Tim is now serving as the Pastor of Student Ministries and as our Missions Pastor. His passion is for young people and missions. His ministry to our youth includes all of the traditional events such as camp, retreats and many other activities but he believes his main role as a pastor is to equip the youth with the tools they need for their life mission. He is dedicated to preaching the uncompromised word of God every Sunday night in our youth service, and providing individual deeper discipleship through our lift group ministries. Tim believes that God used missions to refine his life and prepare him for the ministry. It has been his belief that nothing changes lives more than total surrender to God, and that is why missions is such an important role of his ministry at Believers Fellowship. In the many years of ministry he has led youth and adult teams to; Mexico, Honduras, and Belize. The teams have participated in building projects, city wide crusades, tent revivals, street ministry and most recently city wide youth rallies. In his love of drama Tim founded Mirror Image the pantomime drama team of Believers Fellowship. Through these ministries we have seen thousands of people come to know the Lord as their personal Savior. Tim’s area of expertise is Architecture, so he also serves as our resident architect and general contractor. He designed our church and took over as general contractor when our general contractor walked out on us. Tim believes that God has prepared him “for such a time as this!” He met his beautiful wife Amy and is now raising their three wonderful kids, Christin, Joshua, and Carissa in the ministries of Believers Fellowship.
